Mérida CentroThese popular walking tours of three houses operate every Wednesday from November through March at 9.45 am, departing from LA68 Casa de Cultura on Calle 68 x 55, Centro. Tour price is 200 pesos, with a portion going to three worthy beneficiaries: participants will be able to select either the Merida English Library, Pronatura Yucatan’s turtle conservation program, or Telchac Education’s teaching aids fund. Your host will be the knowledgeable and charming Keith Heitke, who has been leading the tours for the past eight years. LA68, where the tour starts and ends, has a lovely informal patio restaurant for those who might wish to buy coffee and pastries before, or a nice lunch after the tour.
